Started in 1972, The Red River Street Rod Association is the oldest Street Rod club in Louisianna.  We have been here maintaining a community presence and passing on automotive history and enthusiasm to our younger generations for over 40 years. Each year we contribute
to Shreveport-Bossier City community thru the efforts of our Club members and the contributions received from our car show, the RRSRA ANNUAL STREET ROD REUNION.

Jerald Amaya III was awarded a $1000 scholarship by the Red River Street Rod Association.  Mr. Amaya is a diesel powered equipment technology student at Northwest Louisiana Technical College in Shreveport.  Being a diesel technician is a long term goal of Mr. Amaya’s.  Mr. Amaya states that he chose Northwest LTC because it was highly recommended by professionals in the field, and he realized that it would provide the pathway for better advancement in his career, high wage employment, and a sense of purpose.  Mr. Amaya states that his desire is to secure employment with Halliburton and be able to work with his dad who is also employed with Halliburton.   He also stresses that achieving his educational goal will help him to secure a high demand job with a high income thus securing  his future and the well being of his future family.
